Zai Kuang

Zai Kuang (b. 1962, China) holds a Masters degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Art at Tsinghua University, as well as a Masters degree by Research from Monash University. His work has been presented in over 16 solo and 44 group exhibitions. He was represented by the late Eva Breuer from 2005 to 2013.

Kuang has been selected as a finalist in the Archibald Prize, the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, the Sulman Prize, the Fleurieu Art Prize, the Albany Art Prize, the Redland Art Awards, the Willoughby Art Prize, the R & M McGivern Art Prize, the Lexus Mortimore Art Prize and the A.M.E. Bale Art Prize. He has been awarded the Calleen Art Award and the Best Oil or Acrylic prize at the St. Kevin’s Art Show. 

His works are held in various public collections, including the Cowra Regional Art Gallery, BHP Billiton, Monash University, Macquarie University, as well as various private collections internationally.
