Featured artist Tianli Zu

Ji 吉 features paper cuts and installations by artist Tianli Zu. The exhibition showcases original designs of Zu’s rooster lanterns, which will light up Chinatown during the Sydney Chinese New Year Festival.

In Chinese, Ji 吉 forms part of a new year greeting that families and friends use to wish each other good luck and success. Ji 吉 is also a homophone of Ji 鸡, meaning rooster – the 2017 zodiac animal.
